We're excited to announce that Canadian Air Parts has acquired RNB Aviation Services — a calibration specialist with more than 25 years of industry experience. The acquisition closes a major gap in our service offering and makes CAP one of the only shops in Canada certified to calibrate both Honeywell Chadwick and DSS MicroVib track-and-balance systems under one roof.
Why RNB Matters
For years, CAP has been a trusted source for Chadwick-Helmuth vibration analysis calibration. RNB brings deep expertise in the DSS MicroVib II platform and related Dynamic Solutions Systems hardware — two completely different manufacturers and two different styles of unit. By bringing both capabilities together, we can support operators regardless of which platform their fleet runs on, with the same turnaround times and AOG response.
A Step Toward Full-Spectrum Solutions
"This acquisition represents a significant step forward in our ability to provide full-spectrum calibration solutions to our customers," said CAP president Dave Rendle. With Honeywell having declared much of the Chadwick-Helmuth product line obsolete, this expanded in-house calibration capability means CAP can keep operators flying long after OEM support has ended — on whichever platform they rely on.
What This Means for Operators
Practically, you can now send your DSS MicroVib II units, Optical Trackers, Multiplex Units, Accelerometers, Strobe Units, and related hardware to CAP for calibration with normal 5–7 working day turnaround, plus expedited AOG service when you need it. Our team will continue to monitor accelerometers approaching tolerance limits so you're never caught off guard.
